John Winston Lennon (Liverpool, Reino Unido, 9 de octubre de 1940 - † Nueva York, Estados Unidos, 8 de diciembre de 1980), más conocido como John Lennon, fue un músico y compositor británico de música pop y rock. Líder formador del grupo The Beatles, en el cual tocaba la guitarra rítmica y cantaba y para el que compuso la mayor parte del material junto a su compañero Paul McCartney, compuso algunas de las melodías más conocidas del siglo XX.



Uno de los mayores iconos de toda la historia de la musica. Un hombre-leyenda, quizá provocada por su inesperada, absurda y violenta muerte, pero, sin duda, también fundamentada en su innegable genialidad como músico, intérprete y poeta, en su carisma y en su promulgada implicación socio-política en pro del pacifismo.
Tras la separación de The Beatles, John continuó evolucionando en su camino personal y musical cada vez más ligado a sus creencias y a Yoko. Bajo la supervisión de esta última, John Lennon Anthology ofrece una rica compilación de demos, outtakes de estudio, charlas, directos y versiones alternativas que sirve como artefacto histórico de todas las etapas del John post-beatle. Una vez más, otra rareza beatlemaniaca.

Las versiones que hay en el disco 3, pertenecientes a los discos Walls and Bridges y Rock and Roll, así "limpitas", sin el acompañamiento "orquestal" de la mezcla final, siempre me parecieron de lo mejor!
